Six Black Horses

“I’ve had this project in my head for a long time: creating a stop motion animation out of tattoos.”

He drew six frames of a horse in motion using oil pastels. Each frame became a tattoo on a different person. Together, the six of them make the horse run.

“I proved to myself, and maybe to a few others too, that a tattoo can be a real piece of art.”

Vasilii moved to Belgrade in May 2026 with a new flash collection. He tattoos in black: medieval engravings, bold traditional designs, and ornaments he finds on the city’s old gates and balconies.

He is a resident artist at Electric Tattoo and speaks English, Serbian and Russian.
